Hello, Everest speaking
British explorer Daniel Hughes made the first video call to the BBC from the peak of Mount Everest early Monday morning with an HTC One smartphone. Hughes is an all-around champ not just for scaling 8,848 meters of solid mountain, but for attempting to raise a targeted £1 million for Comic Relief in the process (donate here). While Hughes (and presumably the folks over at HTC One) are stoked, the Nepalese government is not amused.
Cue to 1:44 for some excellent panning and breathing.

Tristesse Contemporaine - “Waiting”
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t watch him finish the whole thing. “Waiting” is the new single of Tristesse Contemporaine, taken from “Woodwork EP”, out May 13th in digital & vinyl (available here :http://bit.ly/dmslqA) on Dirty/Record Makers. The video is Andy Warhol eating a buger taken from the film ’66 Scenes From America’ directed by Jørgen Leth. You can see more of Jørgen Leth’s work here.
